What a lovely morning down at the Last Great Cornish Engineer’s book launch at Liskeard. It was wonderful to meet so many of you, end enjoy exploring together a bit more about the life of William West. Many thanks to all that helped the day run so well, all the work behind the scenes was much appreciated, as was the Breton cake! So as promised, I will use this blog to continue the exploration of the William West story.

The Thomas Thomas artifacts
At the museum part of the day we had the amazing opportunity to unwrap the Mike Fursland loan artifacts for the first time in public. WOW…a drawing set donated by William West to Thomas Thomas, and what appears to be an estimate book of Thomas Thomas, used when he worked for Willliam West. So much information must sit within that little book to be discovered. I will post some of its pages on this blog over the next week.
Thanks again everyone, and also for the good wishes, I think we did Mr. West proud.
